So what are the latest 2022 changes for GCSE and A-level exams?

Updated: Feb 10, 2022

Information on some of the exam content has been provided to help students focus their revision for the 2022 exams.

Here are some steps to help your child find the information they need for each exam board:

1. Click on the exam board for your subject (e.g. AQA, Edexcel, OCR or WJEC):

2. Each science subject will have slight changes so go to the subject drop down box to find out more.

3. Once you get there the pdf summarising the individual subject changes can be found.

In summary?

Focus on the major topics first but don't forget the rest. They could still appear within a cross linking question of topics (unless of course it explicitly states otherwise) and of course if you are studying science beyond GCSE a solid foundation will help you in your next step.

For A-level science subjects revise in terms of the rank order of topics given. Same idea still applies here of understanding the whole subject especially for synoptic questions and for a good foundation for post A-level life.

These updates have only just come through on Monday 7th February 2022 so it's also worth going back and checking here just in case there are any more updates.

Remember, these changes are designed to help your child flourish - so once they know what they need to focus on it should make halfterm and easter revision much easier.

I'm currently taking Science Tutoring pre-bookings for 2022-2023.
